VFD Module Character Displays

The character display module series feature a multi-character VFD (segment or dot matrix character format) and utilize industry standard parallel and/or serial communication interfaces. The modules incorporate all the necessary hardware and software for easy connection to the host system. Each module consists of a multi-character VFD, a microcontroller with character generator, anode/grid driver ICs, and a DC-DC/AC converter.

Features

» High quality, excellent reliability, and long life

» On-board microcontroller reduces burden on the host system

» Industry standard parallel and/or serial communication interfaces - LCD Emulators are compatible with LCD modules plus incorporate a synchronous serial interface mode

» Most modules capable of displaying over 200 fonts – alphabetic characters (English, Katakana, and/or European), numbers, symbols, and user definable characters (some modules only)

» Dimming function (not available on all modules) allows easy adjustment of the display’s luminance

» Built-in DC-DC/AC converter enables operation from a single input power supply

» Compact, lightweight, and slim design using SMART (Surface Mount And Reflow Technology) provides excellent design modularity
